Vermont Construction Academy Website

The visual identity for the Vermont Construction Academy was built to reflect the craftsmanship and hands-on learning at the core of their mission.

The Technical Build: Scalable & Data-Driven

To ensure the client could manage the site I built a dynamic, data-first architecture. I engineered a custom backend structure using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and Custom Post Types (CPT). This allows the client to update course details and program requirements in one place, which then automatically populates across the site’s global templates.

  • E-commerce Integration: The site features a streamlined e-commerce flow specifically for class applications, allowing the VCA to process enrollments and fees as digital transactions.
  • Dynamic Scheduling: A fully integrated online calendar provides real-time visibility into upcoming trades training and certification windows, keeping the community synchronized with the Academy’s physical campus.
  • Performance Engineering: Built on the WordPress framework with Bricks Builder and Automatic.css, the site utilizes a lean DOM structure and utility-first CSS to ensure lightning-fast load times and perfect responsiveness across all devices.
